Chop and flip
One sample, cut into up to 128 slices across eight banks. Re-sequence a break, or play it back in a new order from your pads.
Sampling, rethought. Slice it, stem it, play it three ways and shape every piece on its own, without ever leaving the flow.
Its own stems, effects, envelope, pitch, loop and output. Up to 128 of them.
No bouncing stems. No re-slicing. No prep. Drop a sample and start flipping it straight away.
Every parameter, effect and stem choice in DYSEKT can change just the selected slice, or every slice at once. One switch decides which.
Put the vocal on slice 3 and the bassline on slice 4. Saturate the kick, throw the snare into a reverb, tape-stop the last hit, and leave everything else untouched. Then flip the switch and retune the whole sample at once. All from one sample, in one instance.
Most samplers stop at 32 or 64 slices. DYSEKT gives you eight banks of sixteen, so a full vocal take, a long sample flip or a whole record can live in one instance. Detect transients, snap to the beat, split into regions, roll the dice or place every cut by hand.
One dial sets how many hits DYSEKT finds, from every ghost note down to just the downbeats.
Move any marker, add your own, undo anything.
Reads the loop's tempo and key, with ×2 and ÷2 when it guesses half-time.
Colour-coded and labelled with the note that plays them.
DYSEKT separates any sample into drums, bass, music and vocals inside the plugin. Then it goes further: choose the stem per slice. The vocal on one pad, the bassline on the next, the drums underneath, all from the same sample.
No more bouncing stems in another app, re-importing and re-slicing, only to find out the idea doesn't work. You hear it straight away.
A slicer, a drum sampler and a multisampled instrument. Normally that's three plugins and three workflows. In DYSEKT they're one click apart, and each one is built to match a dedicated plugin.
One sample, cut into up to 128 slices across eight banks. Re-sequence a break, or play it back in a new order from your pads.
Drop a different sample on each pad. Choke groups, note repeat with swing, and one-shot or gate per pad.
Map samples across key zones with root, range and velocity layers, or load a SoundFont or SFZ instrument and its whole key map comes in ready to play. With tempo sync on, a loop played up and down the keys keeps its speed on every note. Chord memory turns a single key into a full voicing.
The sound of the classic samplers came from how they worked. DYSEKT models the how, not just the hiss.
Five ways to change pitch and time: Stretch, Tight, Beats, Repitch and Cyclic. Cyclic cuts the audio into short grains and loops each one to hold the length, the way the cyclic time-stretch on 90s Akai S-series samplers did. That buzzy, metallic grain is the sound of jungle, hardcore and speed garage breaks and vocals, and you can push each grain from 100% to 1600%.
The Vintage effect does more than crush bits. Grit recreates the old trick of sampling a record sped up and pitching it back down in the machine, through a low-rate converter and its filters. Pick the CLASSIC 12 preset, 12-bit at 26.04 kHz, and you get the metallic ring producers chase on the SP-1200.
Akai and SP-1200 are trademarks of their respective owners, named only to describe a sound. Defuse Audio isn't affiliated with them.
Sixteen slices from a house loop, every one on its own pad. The selected slice gets its own level, pitch, envelope, playback and loop settings.
Ideas don't wait. DYSEKT gets you from hearing a sound to hearing it work while the spark is still there.
Same sample. Same instance. Seconds, not an afternoon.
No more effect sends and automation lanes in your DAW for every hit. Every slice carries its own effect chain, in any order, or flip the switch and one chain covers the whole sample.

Every parameter is one move away, so going deep never slows you down.
Give every target a positive or negative amount, so one knob opens the filter while it pulls the reverb back. Map any MIDI controller in one click and play the macros like an instrument.
Drag the envelope on the graph, the fades on the waveform and any value where you see it. Every slice gets a full voice: gain, pan, pitch, stretch with tempo sync, and an ADSR or LFO.
With reverse, play-to-end and loop regions with crossfades.
Tempo-synced rolls straight from the pad, 1/2 down to 1/64, straight or triplet.
Send any slice to its own mixer channel in your DAW.
Open hats cut by closed hats, or any slice cutting any other.
Expose exactly the parameters you want to your DAW, by name.
Slices, stems, FX and macros, recalled in one file.
Zooming, scrolling, the minimap, dragging markers: a lot of time went into the speed and weight of every move, so getting around a long sample feels as quick as a short one.
Dark for late sessions, light for daylight. Switch in Settings whenever you like.

I've been making music with samplers for over thirty years, and I've used just about every one there is. Each did something brilliant and left something out. DYSEKT is the sampler I always wanted: every way of sampling in one place, built to keep you in the flow.
